Golf at Pelican Sound – Estero Florida
Golf at Pelican Sound is a treat for golfers of all levels. This is a bundled community and we all are lucky enough to be able to play golf on our very attractive and well maintained three 9-hole courses. Whether you play on the River, Sound or Lakes courses, every one of you will recognize both the beauty of our surrounding areas and nature preserves, but the challenges of this golf course. Most of you will agree that this course is tough for all, and that it plays much harder than its course and slope ratings.
Whether you are a seasoned player or just thinking about starting the game, they have lessons and clinics available for golfers at every level. We utilize the Chelsea System for reservations, and while sometimes challenging to the Newcomer, once you get the hang of it, you should be able to play at least 2-3 times a week. Additionally, there are weekly events where you just sign up and they put together a group to enjoy a day of golf.
During the summer of 2016, the golf course was closed and all 27 holes of golf were completely renovated. This was done to ensure that our golf courses would remain in top notch condition and ensures top quality maintenance on the course and an ever changing challenge for the player, making Pelican Sound the naturally perfect place to play.
Of course, you will want to play in the various events that the Club has to offer, especially the men’s and women’s 9 and 18 hole events, just sign up on Chelsea and come on out to play. Weekly clinics are also available at a reasonable cost on a first-come, first-serve basis. There really is no excuse for all lovers of golf, whether you are scratch golfers or duffers like me not to play as much as possible under our Chelsea system. After all, we all are paying for it, you might as well come out and enjoy!
